Debts
Rough totals are fine. We will also pull all three of your credit reports, and the statements you upload fill in the exact balances and addresses. List everything — even debts you would like to keep paying. If you are filing a joint bankruptcy, please make sure you list all debts owed by you individually, all debts owed by your spouse individually, and all debts you owe jointly.
What you owe
List all your debts, even ones you want to keep paying — rough totals are fine. Upload to the left: statements for all debts, and any letters from attorneys or collectors. If you are filing jointly, list debts owed by you, by your spouse, and jointly.
Secured Debts
Secured debts are tied to property — most often a mortgage or a vehicle loan. We have carried over the real estate and financed vehicles you listed in the Assets section.
No secured property was carried over from the Assets section. If you have a mortgage, vehicle loan, or other secured debt, you can add it under "Creditors" below.

Priority Debts
Certain debts get special treatment in bankruptcy — most commonly domestic support obligations and taxes.

Student Loans
Student loans are not priority debts, but they get special treatment. They are presumed to be non-dischargeable, meaning they usually survive a bankruptcy — though in some cases they can be discharged. Your attorney will discuss your options with you if you owe student loans.

✕ Remove
Please upload your most recent statement for each student loan to the Student loan statements box in the upload section to the left.
+ Add another student loan
Unsecured Debts
Debts not tied to any property — credit cards, medical / dental bills, payday / online loans, personal / family loans, and similar. A rough total is fine.
We will pull your credit reports, but please also upload your most recent statements for these debts to the Unsecured debt statements box on the left. Medical bills no longer appear on credit reports, so it is very important that you upload every medical bill. You will also want to upload any collection letters or notices from attorneys related to these debts.
Creditors without a statement
If you have a recent bill for a creditor, just upload it in the sidebar in the unsecured debt statements section — no need to type it here. Use this only for creditors you have no statement for and that may not show on your credit report.
+ Add another creditor
A few yes/no questions
YesNo
A co-signer remains legally responsible for a debt even after your bankruptcy. Your bankruptcy does not erase their obligation, so the creditor can still pursue them for payment. Please list anyone who co-signed so your attorney can advise you.

+ Add another co-signer

If your business is liable on a debt, there is often also a personal guarantee making you personally responsible. Your attorney can explain the consequences of business debts that are also personally guaranteed. Please upload statements for all business debts to the Business debt statements box on the left, unless you have already provided them.
YesNo
If more than 50% of all of your total debt is related to a business or self employment, there are special considerations related to your case that your attorney can explain.
